About Us

Mark & Toni have a long history with the Wheatbelt area. Toni was born and raised in Merredin and had extended family stretching out across the region over to Southern Cross.

Mark’s first country posting as a young policeman was Merredin. They met there and the rest, as they say, is history.

They have both been very community minded and have entrenched themselves in community work. Mark spent over 30 years dedicating himself as a Police Detective with the WA Police Service. Toni committed herself to the Nursing profession and specialised in Palliative Care, later
moving into community care in the Aged Care space.  They were fortunate enough to have been able to travel and live across the state with their respective careers, from the Pilbara to the Great Southern and in between.  These adventures broadened their horizons and they bring much life experience with them.

After settling back in Perth for a few years, they both decided they’d like to experience a slower paced lifestyle and were very fortunate to have the opportunity to take over the reigns of this Funeral Business from Peter and Jacqui of Peter Jackson Funeral Directors.

“Peter and Jacqui dedicated over 30 years of hard work to building this business and we feel so blessed to be able to carry on their good work”.

We have fallen back in love with the wide open spaces and the peace and tranquility of the bush – we love to reconnect with nature whenever we can and you will often see us out and about walking, running or bike riding around our home town. Give us a shout and a wave next time you see us!

Community Engagements

We love our local Wheatbelt communities, and so wherever we can we like to give back by way of sponsorships or donations to local causes and community events. Keep an eye out for us or our logo at the next community event you go to – we’re sure you’ll see our presence there!

Since moving back to Merredin Mark has been elected onto the local Shire Council and is now the Shire President.  Toni has completed further studies to become a Justice of the Peace.

They have also both committed to playing and coaching sports in the town. Where able, they always look to support local business by buying local first.

Quality Management

We are a member of the Australian Funeral Directors Association – our industry’s peak regulatory body. We are bound by, and adhere to, an extremely strict Code of Ethics, Practice & Training.

Since taking over this role, Mark has been elected onto the AFDA (WA Division) Council as a Councillor and now, the Senior Vice President.  He has contributed to the resolution of many issues throughout regional and metropolitan areas which affect all Funeral Directors and companies.

The AFDA raises the industry standards based on both public health and work place practices, reflecting industry derived, rather than government imposed regulations.

The certificate issued by the AFDA confirms that our company is compliant in quality management, staff safety, Infection Control and reaches the highest standards of quality in our premises, equipment and vehicles.

Recognition

It’s simple for us……what you put in, you get back.

Mark & Toni take pride in dedicating themselves and their business to hard work, whilst honouring their strong value system of integrity, excellence and superior personalised customer service.

We are committed to you.
